Athena Ankrah is an intern at KJZZ and a third-year student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications and the School of Transborder Studies at ASU. 

Originally from Peoria, Arizona, Ankrah enjoys storytelling that serves underrepresented voices in the Phoenix community. 

When she’s away from her desk, Ankrah is listening to hyper-pop, singing in her car, or tending to her beloved houseplants.
