Senate Begins Debate On Fate Of DREAMers
The Senate voted 97-1 Monday night to start debating immigration, but that sort of overwhelming agreement won’t be seen during the debate itself this week.
Discussion will focus on the fate of young undocumented immigrants, also known as “DREAMers,” as well as border security. Any measure will need significant bipartisan support.
