At least when it comes to the Trump Administration and related headlines, mention of the U.S.-Mexico border usually includes discussion of security and the construction of a new, reinforced wall.

But President Trump has also talked extensively of the need for better infrastructure around the country.

An ambitious energy-related infrastructure project could lead to progress on that front and, some hope, improve border security by strengthening the economy.

If it all came together, the project would include wind turbines, desalination and solar panels.

ASU Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Professor Ronald Adrian is part of the group of scientists and academics advocating the project. Adrian joined The Show to discuss his vision for the project.
