Some Arizona law enforcement officials want to delay releasing the names of police officers involved in shootings. They’re working with state lawmakers on a bill which could be filed in the next week.

The initial talk had centered on a 90-day so-called "cooling off" period after a shooting, although that could change.

Mike Williams is a lobbyist, representing the Arizona Police Association and the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association.

The proposal is not being met with praise by everyone. Tia Oso is the Arizona Organizer with the group Black Alliance for Just Immigration. She said there’s no reason to withhold information, since there are no secret police in this country.
