Maricopa County Community College Student Artists Take The Big Stage

Kyara Nycole is one of the "Artists of Promise to be named at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix.
Tuesday night, at the historic Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix, students from throughout the Maricopa County Community College District will be named “artists of promise.”
Their work, spanning a wide array of mediums including creative writing, fashion design, music composition, theater design, visual arts and dance, will be on display.
Kyara Nycole has only been formally training as a dancer since she started college at Estrella Mountain Community College, but she won first place in the solo performance category in the lead-up to the Tuesday event.
She joined The Show to talk about the opportunity, and why dance comes so naturally to her.
