Some Colleges Try Lowering Tuition To Attract More Students

A number of colleges and universities have reduced their sticker prices recently.

Some see the move as a way to attract more applicants, including those who would have been scared away by the higher prices. But how common is this among universities, and does it actually impact what students pay to go to college?

To help answer those questions, The Show spoke with Sandy Baum, a higher education economist and nonresident fellow at the Urban Institute.
