Air quality is a problem throughout the Valley during this time of year.

As recently as this week, we’ve seen high pollution advisories and departments of air quality designating no-burn days. Being outside on bad air days can aggravate health conditions and, in some cases, lead to serious problems.

The issue is even more dramatic for some cities on the U.S.-Mexico border, where toxic air is making some people very sick.

Ian James of The Arizona Republic recently reported on what’s going on in areas like Mexicali, Mexico and Calexico, California. He joined The Show to talk about it.
