Congresswoman Martha McSally was appointed to the U.S. Senate this week and will be joining her general election opponent — Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema — in that body next month.

In order to maintain the seat, McSally will have to run in a special election in two years. She could face at least one opponent in the GOP primary, and the buzz for the last few months is that a key Democratic opponent could be Arizona’s former Attorney General Grant Woods.

Woods has been a Republican for his entire adult life, but recently made the decision to switch parties.

That followed his return to the spotlight, with his words at the Phoenix memorial service for his friend and former boss Sen. John McCain.

The Show met with Woods to discuss whether McSally's appointment would affect his decision to run or not.
