The culture of Silicon Valley — including allegations of sexual harassment and a lack of gender diversity — has been questioned for a number of years.

It’s been in the spotlight even more dramatically in the wake of the #MeToo movement. That, at least in part, is why thousands of Google employees staged a walkout on Thursday.
