Flagstaff, Arizona.

Business owners in Flagstaff say the lack of snow this winter is hurting them financially.

Hotel demand is typically high this time of year in Flagstaff, but the Arizona Daily Sun reports hotel owners are reporting lower than normal numbers of visitors during this holiday season. Restaurant and bar owners say business has been consistent but slower than normal.

At Peace Surplus, a sporting goods store, employees say the store has had to hold sales to keep items moving.

Flagstaff Convention and Visitors Bureau spokeswoman Meg Roederer said it's too soon to report how sales tax numbers and lodging occupancy changed in December, but she said that information is being gathered.
