Arizona Gas Prices Rise, Stay Below National Average

Published: Monday, November 13, 2017 - 10:46am

Arizona gas prices are rising as new numbers from October have been released. However, with the statewide average now at $2.41, that’s still 15 cents below the national average.

AAA spokeswoman Michelle Donati said that stronger than expected fall demand is responsible for pushing prices higher.

“October has seen very strong demand numbers," Donati said. "In fact, according to the Energy Information Administration, the latest gasoline demand measurement is the highest for the end of October since 2006.”

Donati said the highest prices are in Flagstaff, where drivers are paying $2.62 a gallon, while the lowest prices are in Yuma, at $2.28.
