A brush fire north of Phoenix has burned more than 50 acres — and closed parts of three highways, including 11 miles of Interstate 17. 

A spokesman for the Arizona Department of Transportation says Interstate 17 southbound is closed at Pioneer Road, just north of State Route 74, the Carefree Highway. I-17 northbound is closed at Loop 101. Loop 303 westbound is closed from I-17 to Lake Pleasant Parkway. And the Carefree Highway Eastbound is closed at Lake Pleasant Parkway. 

There is no estimate of when these roads will reopen.
