Stephen Colbert’s "Late Show" spent 10 weeks at the top of the ratings this year, a comeback that began shortly after President Trump’s inauguration.

And "Saturday Night Live" just completed its most-viewed season in 23 years, with help from Alec Baldwin’s impersonation of Donald Trump and Melissa McCarthy’s turn as his press secretary, Sean Spicer.

But is their biting political satire deepening the political divides in our country? And is it changing anyone’s mind? 

To find out, I got a hold of Heather LaMarre, a political communication expert at Temple University.
