Jury Deadlocked In NAU Shooting Trial
Published: Tuesday, May 2, 2017 - 4:59pm

A mistrial has been declared in the trial of a former Northern Arizona University student, charged with killing a fellow student and wounding three others.
The jury was deadlocked over the charges against 20-year-old Steven Jones. Jones has claimed self-defense in the October 2015 shooting near the NAU campus.
Jones was punched in the face during a brawl in the early morning hours. He then went to his car, retrieved his gun and opened fire, hitting four people, including Colin Brough, who died.
Jones was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault.
