Republic's Anne Ryman Weighs In On Bill To Alter University Oversight

A couple of Republican state lawmakers want to tear up the current Arizona Board of Regents and rebuild it, sort of.

Reps. Mark Finchem and Jill Norgaard, with HB 2359, want to take away the Regents’ direct oversight of the university system and give each of the three state universities its own five-member board. The Regents came out against HB 2359 officially on Monday.
