A large collection of posters advertising Western and American Indian movies is coming to Arizona.

Arizona State University, along with Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, has acquired the Strickland Collection, which consists of around 5,000 items —mostly movie posters and lobby cards.

Peter Lehman, director of the ASU Center for Film, Media and Popular Culture, talked about the significance of this collection.
