The Goldwater Institute this week filed suit against Chandler, over the city’s sign code. The institute is representing a group of property and business owners, who argue the rules violate their constitutional rights to free speech and equal protection.
"We would like Chandler to have a truly content-neutral sign code," said Goldwater Institute Attorney Adi Dynar.
A city of Chandler spokesman said the city is not yet in a position to comment on the lawsuit.
