How To Research The Judges On Your Ballot

When you get your ballot in the mail or consider it when you’re in the voting booth, the most confusing category for most people includes judges.

There’s typically a long list of names that most of us aren’t familiar with. The Arizona Commission on Judicial Performance Review’s job is to give voters some insight on those judges based on input from people who have dealt with them in court, on issues from legal knowledge to courtesy.

The commission voted Friday on how to rate judges on the 2016 ballot. Mike Hellon is the commission’s chair.
