Put the dustbin away — the drywall is intentional.

For some of us, holes and scratches on the wall, debris on the floor and hardware in the ceiling means a weekend to-do list — but at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, it’s an exhibit.

"Permanent Collection / Impermanent Museum" is a look behind the scenes at how the building itself is affected by what’s displayed inside it.

Peter Bugg, curator of programming at SMoCA and Sara Cochran, the museum’s director and chief curator, talked about the exhibit.  – we started by talking about something that had me looking for a broom and dustpan.

The exhibit, Permanent Collection / Impermanent Museum is on display through the beginning of October.
