Analysis: Arizona Spends $4000 Less Per Student Than National Average

School districts on average spend $12,000 on each student each year across the country.

That’s according to an analysis by NPR. The review found the average primary and unified district in Arizona spent just shy of $8,000 per student. Pearl Chang Esau, president and CEO of the education group Expect More Arizona, spoke more about those numbers.
