If we’re lucky, every so often a song comes around that completely changes us. Maybe we listen to music differently, we start seeing the world in a new way, or in some cases our life even changes directions.

Bob Boilen, host of the NPR Music podcast All Songs Considered, wrote a new book called "Your Song Changed My Life," in which he talks with famous musicians about the songs that impacted them. KJZZ’s Sarah Ventre caught up with Boilen about his new book.

The conversation started with the song that changed his life - “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles.

Boilen asked this question of lots of folks, everyone from Jimmy Page to Carrie Brownstein to Philip Glass.
