Pima Moves Toward Giving Paid Parental Leave To All Employees
Published: Thursday, March 17, 2016 - 5:15pm

The Pima County Board of Supervisors is moving toward a plan to give all county employees six weeks of paid maternity or paternity leave.
The supervisors adopted the policy but still have to approve it as part of the budget process this spring. It could take effect as early as July 1.
Under the plan, new parents would be able to take the time, and get 66 percent of their salary over those six weeks. Allyn Bulzomi, director of human resources for Pima County, spoke about the new program.
