Few Students Seek Credit From Arizona State University Global Freshman Academy

More than 34,000 people registered for the first courses offered as part of Arizona State University’s Global Freshman Academy, a partnership between the school and the company edX, offering Massive Open Online Courses, or MOOCs.

However, Inside Higher Ed reported less than 1 percent of those learners are eligible to earn credit for those classes. Carl Straumsheim is a technology correspondent for the online news site and wrote the article on this. He spoke about the issue
