Roosevelt Row is getting a new coffee shop. It’s expected to open late next month. That’s not necessarily unique - the area already has a number of places to get your morning fix.

But, OSB, or Oliver’s Sophisticated Bean will be a bit different, mostly because of its owner: Oliver Bryan. After getting out of the Navy, he was invited to be part of a flag ceremony at a Cardinal's game. On his way home from that event in October 2012, his motorcycle hit a dirt embankment. He flew more than 30 feet and landed on his head.

Bryan said he always wears his helmet, but wasn’t that night. He suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, and was in a coma for a month and a half.

His recovery has been dramatic, but what about other patients who suffer brain injuries? Dr. Pamela Klonoff works with those patients. She’s a clinical neuropsychologist at Barrow Neurological Institute.
