Downtown Phoenix Businesses Could Get Formal Process To Apply For Liquor Licenses

Phoenix officials are working on coming up with a formal process for downtown business owners applying for an exemption to the state’s liquor laws.
This June, the city council approved an entertainment district downtown. This allows businesses to get liquor licenses, even if they’re within 300 feet of a school or church. Anna Darian, a project management assistant in Phoenix’s Community and Economic Development Department spoke about the issue.
