Fewer than five wildfires are currently burning in the state, but there’s still concern about the potential for new ones to spark.

That’s according to Tiffany Davila, spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management.

“We really need ample rain, ample precipitation and increased relative humidity to help put an end to our fire season,” she said.

The Valentine Fire in the Tonto National Forest is the most notable of those still burning, at about 10 acres.
