Coral reefs are some of the most beautiful, biodiverse places on Earth. They are also some of the most threatened places on Earth.

From climate change and pollution to development and overfishing, coral reefs face a slew of challenges and scientists are racing to find ways to protect them.

An assistant professor in the School of Molecular Sciences and School of Ocean Futures at Arizona State University has a novel idea about how to heal them from within: nanotechnology.

Liza Roger proposes using nanotechnology to aid in the conservation of coral reefs in two of her new papers. The Show spoke with her about it.
