The Arizona Senate committee created to vet Gov. Katie Hobbs’ nominees to lead state agencies gave its OK this week to Ryan Thornell to lead the state Corrections Department.

But, overall, only three of the governor’s nominees have won full Senate confirmation, while a couple dozen more have not.
