Chandler hosts Saturday innovation fair with schools, company

Chandler's annual innovation fair is a free, hands-on event that will take place Saturday, Feb. 25, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The city of Chandler is partnering with local schools and companies to present its free, hands-on innovation fair Saturday.

More than a hundred exhibitors from Chandler schools and technology companies will demonstrate how science impacts daily life. Students, engineers and others will highlight experiments and science concepts. 

Aerospace company Northrop Grumman will launch a model rocket every hour, and Intel employees will help kids make doodle bots — mini robots that can scribble and draw on paper. 

Two panel discussions led by the SciTech Institute will be held inside the Chandler Public Library, 22 S. Delaware St., Copper Room. Representatives from Intel, Northrop Grumman, East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, and Maricopa Community Colleges will be featured.

    Attendees will listen to STEAMists who identify as Black, Latinx, Indigenous, Southeast Asian, disabled and LBGTQ+ as they share their stories in STEAM.

  • Go For It! Career Pathways | 1 - 2:15 p.m.
    Learn about the ways you can join various industries including Tech, Automotive, Aviation & Aerospace, Business & Finance; Healthcare; Manufacturing; and Software & Information Technology) — starting with a certificate.

The innovation fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Chandler along Commonwealth Avenue between Buffalo and Boston Streets. Free parking is available at the Johnathan parking garage (south of Buffalo Street, east of Arizona Avenue) or the Alexander parking garage (north of Boston Street, east of Arizona Avenue).
