The head of the Arizona Senate Government Committee has subpoenaed Maricopa County officials for records detailing how the recent general election was run.

Some of the information that state Sen.  Kelly Townsend is demanding has been publicly addressed by either County Recorder Stephen Richer or Bill Gates, who chairs the board of supervisors.

It includes a list of which voting centers had problems with tabulators accepting ballots and the "exact reasons for the issues.”

County officials have said printer issues meant some ballots produced on site were not dark enough for tabulator scanners to read.

Arizona is set to "canvass: election results on Dec. 5th. A successful challenge would require proof of either "illegal votes" or that an "erroneous count" declared the wrong person the winner.
