The global demand for oil is falling, which has caused a slight decrease in gas prices in other parts of the country. However, Arizona isn't following that trend.

John Treanor is a spokesperson with AAA Arizona. 

"Right now, the national average is still going down," he said. "[It's] $3.75 a gallon, but in Arizona, we’re [at] $3.99 and a few days ago, we were at $3.96. So we did see a three-cent increase after the Labor Day weekend, which may be attributed to an increase in demand."

The highest gas price in the state is $4.22 cents in Mohave County. The lowest price is $3.59 cents in Pima County.

Treanor said normally, during this time of year, hurricanes in the Atlantic disrupt oil production, but luckily, that hasn't been the case this year.
