With the U.S. Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade earlier this summer, red and blue states have been scrambling to determine how they will define reproductive rights going forward.

Voters in Kansas had the first opportunity to give their opinions on the issue when a majority rejected a state constitutional amendment that would have taken away abortion-related protections.
