Tempe asks residents to share growth, recreation, historic preservation priorities

Published: Tuesday, June 28, 2022 - 1:34pm

Tempe residents are being asked to help set future priorities for the city through an online survey open through July 1.

The survey collects input to help create Tempe’s general plan — that’s a policy document that guides development for the next 30 years.

Residents are asked to rank their top priorities for recreation and open spaces, historic preservation, economic development, sustainability plus transportation and mobility.

The survey also asks people to list up to five specific locations where they’d like to see growth. Some growth areas in the current general plan are around Arizona State University, the light rail corridor, the south Tempe tech corridor, and Warner Road and Interstate 10.
