Former Vice President Mike Pence is visiting Arizona on Monday to deliver an address on border issues.

Pence will be joined by Gov. Doug Ducey, who, in April, formed a network with 25 other Republican governors dedicated to border security.

Ducey’s office says Arizona is “at the forefront of the national security and humanitarian crisis at the border.”

The two will speak in front of an invitation-only crowd at the Arizona Commerce Authority in downtown Phoenix on Monday afternoon, following a visit to the state’s southern border earlier that day.

Pence’s visit comes a few weeks before Arizona’s primary elections, which will take place on Aug. 2.
