Issues Related To Digitizing Arizona's Historic Records

There’s a lot of frustration among a relatively small group of people with what’s been going on with Arizona’s genealogy collection, which has been moved a few blocks from the State Capitol to the Rosenbaum Archives and History Building.

Some researchers are upset that they’ll have easy access to a very limited number of records. But Secretary of State Michele Reagan said digital is the way to go.

For insights on not only the genealogy collection but other issues related to hard copies versus digital, we checked in with Jim Garrison, Arizona’s Historic Preservation Officer.
