The Bureau of Land Management has approved a proposed line that will deliver energy from Harquahala Sun solar generation facility near Tonopah into the grid.

The transmission line will connect the solar station to the Delaney Substation owned by Arizona Public Service.

The project is estimated to take three months to complete.

The Harquahala Sun facility takes up about 1,000 acres 60 miles west of Phoenix.
