Some people haven't gotten COVID despite being exposed to it. Scientists are trying to learn why

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that a majority of Americans have been infected with the novel coronavirus since 2020. But there are people who’ve avoided it so far, and scientists are trying to figure out how and why. 

Felicia Goodrum is a professor at the University of Arizona specializing in virology; she’s also the president of the American Society for Virology.

The Show spoke with her to learn why some people catch COVID, and others don't.
