The U.S. Supreme Court has confirmed the leaked draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade is authentic. But it is not a final ruling.

But despite this being only a draft, Progress Arizona Deputy Director Jenny Guzman says this has potential impact on more than just abortion rights.

“This ruling suggests that abortion in America, despite it being a 50-year ruling, is not the law of the land. So what this means is it can really put even more recent Supreme Court cases, such as the same sex marriage one and others, at jeopardy of being challenged under the same precedent," Guzman said.

Abortion remains a legal right as of now, and Arizona’s more restrictive laws have not taken effect.
