Suns point guard Chris Paul is among President Biden’s recent appointees to his advisory board on Historically Black Colleges and Universities, intended to advance the HBCU Initiative established by the Carter administration.

Paul is currently enrolled as a student at Winston-Salem State in North Carolina, and he held a set of exhibition games on the Suns’ home floor last year to promote HBCU athletics. He is also the producer of a documentary series about the North Carolina Central University men's basketball team.

Paul is one of 18 appointees, which include HBCU presidents as well as other educators, celebrities and athletes.
