Arizona was one of several states that had a fake slate of presidential electors who sent a signed document trying to illegally cast their votes for Donald Trump even though Joe Biden won the 2020 election.

Arizona’s fake electors included a state representative, a candidate for U.S Senate and the chairman of the Republican Party — and each one of them could be facing potential legal trouble.

While the issue occurred in Arizona, as well as in Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania, among other states, it could be more of a federal issue. There are calls for Attorney General Mark Brnovich to look into it; he has said he won’t, but that if anybody does investigate it, that it should be the Department of Justice, who is reportedly “reviewing” it. At least two fake electors have already been subpoenaed by the Jan. 6 commission in Congress.

Paul Charlton is the former U.S. attorney for Arizona.

The Show spoke with him about what the implications are moving forward.
