Most states can point with pride to being the home of some of the greatest works of fiction in American history.

But Tom Zoellner, fifth-generation Arizonan and author of "A Safeway in Arizona," argues that this state doesn’t have its own Great American Novel.

Zoellner wrote about the topic for Phoenix New Times and we talked with him about it.
