The Biden administration late last week made another attempt to end the Trump-era policy of keeping asylum-seekers in Mexico while they wait for their day in U.S. immigration court, called the Migrant Protection Protocols, or the "Remain in Mexico" program.

The Trump administration put the policy in place in 2019 as the country dealt with a surge of families from Central America at the southern border.

President Joe Biden has already tried to end it once, but that effort is now the subject of a lawsuit.

To break down what’s going on and what it means, The Show spoke with Chelsea Sachau, the equal justice works fellow for the Border Action Team of the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project.
