Congress Looks Beyond Roads And Bridges In Second Infrastructure Bill

With the Senate's passage of a physical infrastructure bill, Congress will now take up a broader infrastructure bill.
After much debate, Senate Republicans ultimately backed a bill to help rebuild the nation’s roads and bridges. It also will upgrade internet connections in rural communities.
Congress will now take up a broader infrastructure bill. The next bill will target things like child care, DACA, climate change and college tuition. Senate Republicans and some moderates have balked at the price tag.
Congressman Raul Grijalva says that the bill will benefit Arizona and that action on issues like climate change is critical.
“Basically the yard is burning and it’s getting closer and closer to the home, with regards to climate change,” Grijalva said.
The United Nations recently released a report that said climate change is accelerating.
