The Biden administration has resumed Title 42, part of a public health act that was enacted under the Trump administration at the beginning of the pandemic.

The policy gave rise to border expulsions in which migrants were almost immediately sent back across the border under the concern for public health.

Migrant and human rights advocates have criticized the Biden administration's renewal of the policy, which comes as the Southern border has been dealing with a surge in migrants.

The Show spoke with Alisa Resnick of Arizona Public Media to learn the latest on the dispute over how to handle a surge of migrants at the border amid rising COVID-19 numbers.
