Certain Cannabis Products Recalled In Arizona After Lab Inspection
Arizona health officials have announced a recall of certain marijuana products to protect Arizonans from possible salmonella and mold contamination.
There have so far been no reports of people getting sick.
The state health department has warned cannabis users not to smoke, cook with or otherwise consume certain marijuana plant products typically called flower.
The recall includes seven brand names packaged in a variety of ways.
Officials said state auditors did a normal inspection of an outside laboratory and found cannabis samples that tested positive for salmonella and mold had been wrongly reported to dispensaries as contaminant-free.
When the companies were told, they decided to recall the products.
A health department spokesperson could not quantify how much marijuana the recall applies to.
