Light rail has proven to be a popular option in the Phoenix metro area, and expansion of the line is on the way. But there are concerns about how long the effects of the pandemic will be felt. And how comfortable will people be in close proximity to fellow rail and bus riders?

Those are just some of the questions that the leaders of Valley Metro are working on addressing.

One of the new leaders is Henry Ikwut-Ukwa. He has come to the area as the new director of capital development from his previous position as director of transportation for Atlanta BeltLine.

The Show spoke with him to learn about what he is most optimistic about when it comes to Valley Metro and expansion of light rail.
