The metro Phoenix dining scene has diversified dramatically in recent years, and a new generation of star chefs, bartenders and mixologists has emerged. But in a sign that the talent expansion hasn’t happened overnight, we’re seeing some comeback stories.

In the May issue of Phoenix magazine, Peter Kasperski is profiled.

Kasperski was one of the most popular and successful restaurateurs that Scottsdale had ever seen, with Cowboy Ciao among his standouts. But Kasperski went into bankruptcy and left the business for a while. Now he’s back with a new spot on Roosevelt Row called Character.

The Show spoke with Craig Outhier, editor-in-chief of Phoenix magazine, about the Kasperski profile.
