During the height of the pandemic, the Navajo Nation was one of the hottest spots for transmission of COVID-19 in the world. That led to tighter restrictions on activities and the implementation of a curfew. So it was especially good news last week when the Nation had its first day in more than six months without a new reported COVID-19 case.

But two days ago, there were renewed concerns when the Nation saw its first confirmed case of the so-called U.K. variant of the virus.

The Show spoke with the Nation's president, Jonathan Nez, to talk about COVID-19, the Navajo Nation and more.
