Late last week, Gov. Doug Ducey decided to lift many pandemic-related restrictions on businesses and public gatherings, among other things. He also acted to limit the ability of individual cities to keep their own masking requirements in place — all of which were originally enacted because of the lack of a statewide mandate.

Tucson and Flagstaff have already said they’re going to keep theirs in place. And on April 8, Tempe’s City Council members will meet to decide what their next step can and should be.

The Show spoke with Tempe Mayor Corey Woods about what he thinks of the governor’s decision.
