Lawmakers and business owners alike are questioning the wisdom of Gov. Doug Ducey’s latest executive order that ends business capacity limits in the state, but retains social distancing measures.

Paradise Valley Democratic Rep. Kelli Butler said she doesn’t understand how businesses are supposed to interpret the order.

“We are all looking forward to the day when we can fully reopen our economy and it feels like if we could just be careful for a little bit longer while more people are able to get vaccinated, that would be a more cautious approach,” she said.

Butler also intimated she would’ve liked to have seen more essential workers get vaccinated and those in the disability community being prioritized before relaxing protective standards.
